Our Mobile Generation

The idea emerged when I heard that Apple is one of the most non-sustainable companies in the world. I am a great fan of their products so this could not be possible. Why can’t we come up with designs for a Green iPhone? After a first feasibility it turned out that many things in this field are already happening in the mobile phone industry, but found out that the massive potential of using the phone for social impact was not really used yet. So the focus of the project changed to: how can we focus the power of the 4 billion people having a phone to drive massive social change?

Our Mobile Generation is aimed to change the mobile phone industry in a way the phone will be a tool to drive massive social and environmental change. Today we are developing the HELP! app, to use the power of the expert crowd to assist emergency services in case of emergencies. When the HELP! app is activated an (expert) crowd is alarmed in a circle of 1000 meters to provide first assistance on the spot.
