Rdamse Nieuwe

Together with my fellow YoungEDBR members I have co-founded Rdamse Nieuwe, a community of young thinkers in Rotterdam that want to actively contribute to a city in which they would like to work and live. From 2008 until 2011 I was chief organiser of this community ;-)

De Groene Zaak

De Groene Zaak is the association of the private sector in The Netherlands that is in my opinion an essential part of  the new coordinates of the economy. All Dutch companies that are not a member yet, can in my opinion be considered as ‘old school.’ They probably will not survive the coming ten years to come because they are either not well connected to their external environment to benefit of the global trend called the circular economy, or they are ignorant.

Economic Development Board of Rotterdam

Since 2006 I am a member of the Economic Development Board of Rotterdam and from 2008 until 2011 I was deputy chairman. The Economic Development Board of Rotterdam advises the Municipal Executive on the economic development of the city of Rotterdam. Why I am doing this? Because it is an important institution that co-designs the economic policies of the region of Rotterdam. Since the Port of Rotterdam is still one of the biggest of the world and an important engine for the Dutch economy, sustainability and co-creation are important themes to get on the agenda.
